external links in posts
external links in posts
on most message boards, clicking on a BBCode link within a post opens up a new window (or tab) rather than the linked to page opening up in the message board window -- i'd prefer this cos if i wander off following further links from the linked to page, i can just close it down when finished and still have the original message board page available
but it's no big deal -- am happy to go with whatever others feel ok with

Re: external links in posts
I take you point.
I can do it but it will involve a bit of file editing leave it with me and I will see what I can do.
In the meantime you could right click and choose open link in new tab

Re: external links in posts
I have tried to sort this out, unfortunately it involves editing files which have already been edited for another modification so if I delete and replace text in those files it will stuff the other mod.
I will keep at trying to find a solution to this one

This seems to be a good enough method. I would imagine that anyone who looks at the forum regularly will have a short-cut back anyway.Chris S-S wrote:In the meantime you could right click and choose open link in new tab

PS i forgot to acknowledge your LAST FM recommendation -- a really nice selection of tracks followed my original choice -- another one is Grooveshark (which unlike Spotify doesn't need registration or installing)
